If the user opens setup and sets up Date mode Auto-Run without
changing the Auto-Run Mode from the default of "Date" the
instrument will show "Timed Run" as the selected Auto-Run after
programming.

programs the instrument, when the recorded data is retrieved the
setup name is padded with nulls by the instrument for anything
less than 8 characters.
